I’m just glad Google’s still got a tattered shred of social responsibility left, making it easy to leave them with their “data liberation front” project. If in fact they do “bake G+ into everything”, that’s exactly what I’ll do. I find them plenty creepy enough already, although not quite as creepy as Facebook, which I will never ever ever use. Didn’t like MySpace, LiveJournal, or Friendster either.

Bottom line: I sure hope Google reconsiders their coercive ‘integration’ stance.

It’s a great social zone. I can understand how it’s simpleness gathers a greater male use than female, but it’s still a service that will hold a market for both.

If you build a home that’s nice and modern and can hold a couple of million people then people will move in. Look at Twitter. I expected that to die 2 years ago and it still lives comfortably with a stable userbase.

Google+ is underperforming though. They have a system that has latent power. If they would incorporate the philosophy of “make everything as customization and variable as possible” then they will excel into the promised frontier.

As it is now, comparing the much needed feature to the features that are not arriving, we might think that bureaucracy is stifling innovation… am I far off?
