Nokia GEM phone concept

Nokia Research Center (NRC) is actively engaging in Open Innovation through selective and deep research collaborations with world-leading institutions. By sharing resources, leveraging ideas, and tapping each other’s expertise NRC recently released Nokia GEM phone concept. A concept that points to “What if every part of your next phone was a touchscreen?” And here is a very innovative video to talk about this concept-

Nokia GEM was launched to celebrate 25 years of existence of the Nokia Research Centre and this device is all about the touchscreen it incorporates on its front, back and sides. The back is also interactive, so you can pinch to zoom from the rear, without cluttering the front screen. This function also comes in handy when using maps and probably games too, as proved by the Sony PS Vita.

We are not sure whether Nokia will be building a phone on this concept or not, but it seems very amazing. And this will also give Nokia a new horizon to get developed. Lets see how it goes.

Thanks to Atul Bafna for introducing us to this concept.
