Vodafone 555 Blue Launched

Vodafone launched low cost smartphone dedicated to Facebook and other social networking sites. Here is the official link on Vodafone site for Vodafone 555 Blue.
Sources says it will launched in India and UK initially.
Vodafone is the latest company to unveil a Facebook phone, although the Vodafone 555 Blue is more likely to be a hit in emerging mobile markets like India than in the UK.
The device is a feature phone running Vodafone’s proprietary operating system, rather than Android or another smartphone OS.

According to FT.com
Vodafone 555 Blue is more efficient in its consumption of data than more sophisticated devices, estimating it would use less than 100Mb per month for a user with 300 Facebook friends.
555 Blue will be available in August costing less than $100 (around Rs 4500) on a prepay tariff, which will include a bundle of data usage.
