Charge any Nokia Phone from laptop/PC

Here are the two options you can charge your nokia phone from your laptop or PC

Option 1 – Create your own Cable

Thing you will require

  • A spare standard USB cable
  • A spare standard nokia charger (recommended 12-Volt)
  • A volt meter

Get the USB Cable

  • You’re going to retain the USB end that plugs into the computer and go ahead and cut off the other end of the USB cable.
  • After stripping the insulation and separating the wires, you’ll notice there are four wires; red, green, white and black.
  • With your computer on, go ahead and plug the USB cable into the USB port.

Get the desired Wires

  • Now using your volt meter, check each of the wires and look for the one that has five volts ( typically the red one). And black will be your ground.
  • Now unplug the cable from your computer.

Connect The Phone

  • Now take your 12-volt Nokia Charger and remove the 12-Volt end that would plug into the phone. And also stripping the wires off that will reveal two wires. (typically a red and a white).
  • Tie the red cable with the red one and white with the black one. And use a tape to cover the joint for safety.

Now plug the cable into your phone and laptop/PC, and you will find your phone gets charged..

      Fool Nokia(latest models) phone get charged at 5.6V But the USB provides only 5V only old model phone charges at 3.6V so 5V by USB will kill the phone
